What are pop-ups in my computer?

POPUPS AND SOUNDS COMING FROM MY COMPUTER?

I haven't had those random popups on my computer since FOREVER i didn't even know that could still happen....I'm talking about when I have no websites open and everything is closed, I will get those stupid popups and now random ads are just playing constantly, just sound, no picture. what the heck? I keep running a spyware check through spybot and it will find a few problems, then I will have them deleted and I run spyware immediately after that to double check, and different ones are back right away!! what's going on I barely ever have a problem with viruses so I am very confused. please help this is so annoying :(

try using a virus scanner to scan for viruses like avg avast or Aviva (i don't know how to spell that) if you are getting dirty pics its a virus or if not idk (i don't know) but still do i virus scan
