How to read my e-mail from another computer?

Is it illegal to read someone's email on their computer? No hacking involved, the man just didn't log out?

  • Is it illegal to read someone else's email on their computer? No hacking involved, the man just didn't log out and/or had automatic log in function set. This guy left the woman in her house alone and she was bored and she went on the computer to browse around. Found his emails with some girl. She discovered the man had other women he as been talking to as well as her. She didn't do anything with it just let it be known that was busted (especially when he was asking to marry her.) No the man is upset and wants to have her arrested. This happened in Georgia. She lives in Houston. Is there a case? Can she be arrested?

    no she didn't do anything illegal 1 it his fault for leaving the computer log on and didn't lock it 2 his fautl for being a scum bag and cheating before he married better she found out now and not after he can't do anything but blame himself for being a slim ball scum maybe next time he won't cheat or learn to use the windows lock feature

Being arrested for reading someones emails? Illegal? Going to prison? For what, 3years you'd expect? LOOOOOOOOOOL. Not very realistic is it?

She can't be arrested just cause the guy did not log out and bumped in into his email account. As long as she did not delete anything it does not matter. And even if it is illegal his cheating is wrong so everything will backfire on him.

Funny no body here seems have an idea about ramification of this case. Well what if that computer belongs to a very senior official working for some country's Defense department. If not for a some big multinational Corporation. It can be done. Most importantly it is justifiable. But success depends on prosecution mostly.
