Popups!!! how do i get rid of them?

Download and install SpyBot S&D. Many many many popups such as that are caused by a thing called adware. I bet you have a few on there, they're easy to get..lol. Scan and remove them then your problem should be fixed ^_^

go to tools(at the top) then click on internet options. you will see among the tabs an option saying block popups

Okay if its malware you have a long track to follow,firstly open up firefox go to tools then options privacy and uncheck both cookie options. That will remove the further chance of spyware infections. Okay once downloaded update the virus database, the look of avast! is extremely different to other AV programs but avast! does the job. Then perform a full scan of the computer check the rootkit scan box and change the setting to thorough scan. Then just wait, this should detect the virus/malware however if it doesnt try TrendMicro housecall, this is a online virus scanner. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ This will take a while but it might detect the malware.
