How to unblock a website?

  • I have windows vista unfortunately and I am having problems accessing just ONE website. I have not added any new programs or downloaded anything before I started having this problem. Everything was fine on a Friday morning when I accessed the page. When my husband got on that night he said he thinks a question popped up when he was going to the site that asked if the content should be blocked. He thinks he said yes. Ever since then I haven't been able to check that one site. When i type it straight into the browser it pulls up my google image search results. When i click their link in an email they sent me it just gives me a blank white screen. I have checked everything in the control panel and with my internet settings and cannot find any place where websites can be blocked. There is a place for restricted sites but I don't have anything restricted. Help please? How can I unblock the content on the page?

    up on top of this page you should see an option that says "tools" click on that and then you should see "internet options"... once there. Look for "security" You should see right in front of you a big red minus sign that says "restricted sites" click on that and then you should see where it says "sites" (below the white box) once you click on that you will see the list of sites that are blocked... chose the one you want to unblock... then click remove... then ok your way out...

If you poke around a bit, you will find that site in a list of blocked URL(s). It will be in the Control Panel - Security. I am not sure which zone. I got you close. I am sure you can find it.

in the bottom right corner of your screen there should be i intenet explorer symbol pop up when trying to go to the page, click on it and it will say blocked sites and allowed lok under blocked then add it to your allowed list

just use a proxy, type in proxy on google and then type in the website and the proxy gets around the blocked websites
