get avast bcoz i used it 4 a year without problems

Avast! home Edition - Antivirus Spyware Terminator - Spyware Defender Comodo Firewall Pro - Firewall (protect from Hackers and intrustions) All of them are free, http://www.download.com to get them. I haven't noticed a single thing come in, I haven't even been asked to remove any dangers - they all do it themselves. Best free protection I know of without complicated instructions (like Spybot) Hope this helps :)

Just don't get Norton, mine went haywire and disabled the computer after they sent updates, and trying to get them to help me mix it was the most frustrating thing! I told them I'd tell the world they stink.....

As long as you don't download stuff you should be safe until you decide which program you want. I use Norton Symantec and it is great. I don't use the 360 because it is so big and it dominates everything.

Try downloading adaware

I use Avast Home Edition. Great program that I have yet to see anything get past. You can download it from www.avast.com. Free for home use.
