Is survey scout a scam?

Scam?? So weird--- Hulu survey, "free gift"?

  • Okay, so I was on Yahoo and decided to go to Hulu to watch something. I typed the adress directly into my adress bar. Hulu opened on a page saying something like "You've been selected to participate a survey today. If you choose to continue we will say "thank you" by giving away some free prizes! I completed the 4 question survey (gender, age range, favorite search engine and where you are most apt to use your internet connection [home, work, school]). Then it said, "Thank you!" Please choose your prize! And it had a Mac Book Air, Best Buy $1000 gift certificate and some other things. By then I suspected something was weird... but I clicked on the Mac Book Air... Took me to complimentarylaptop.com where it says "Where do we send your Mac Book Air?" and wants me to fill out name, adress, DOB, home and cell numbers. I haven't continued as it seems a little phishy, but really strange--- as I typed in www.hulu.com --would it not take me to hulu's site?
