i want to know if there is any way i can trace a mobile number that i have been receiving annoying texts from. i know its a uk number and prob someone pretty close but need the proof before i can take it further and would prefer not to involve the police at the moment, as i doubt they would do much as they are only annoying at the min and i cant change my number as its a work number.

Answer:
first of all , many scams originate in the UK so if you text back you could get hit with thousands in charges on your cell bill . this has been going on for a number of years and theres nothing you can do about the bill . i suggest calling your carrier to see if you can block the number ,, if that does'nt work and the messages are harrassing , i would contact the police

firstly, reply to the texts telling them if they don't either stop annoying you or tell you who they are then you will go to the police. That'll scare them. Hope your problem goes away<3
theres a couple ways call the cops and they will trace it for you or if you really are getting mad go to www.trapcall.com
Hi.Since it is a UK number don't think there is a way to trace it.If you were to say a U.S. number that I would say possibly yes. if you really want you can get he police involved. They could trace it
Call your phone company and ask them to track it down....that's what I did...(:
There are no directories for mobile numbers as most mobiles are unregistered. I can tell you now the Police wont be interested unless they are of a real threat to your actual personal safety. Telling you that you are a piss head doesn't count. Mainly because they have neither the time or the resources to do so. Unless your phone has the capability of blocking numbers then there is really not you can do about it.
type it into google. i do that and it tells you the location and sometimes the person/address
no one should send/recieve calls or texts like that. call up your network they might be able to help and perhaps block the number
