I need help removing a virus, can anyone please help me??? 10 points!!?

I have the free trial of avast and I noticed my laptop been acting strange, so I did a quick scan and I didn't see nothing wrong, so I decided to do a full scan and it detected trojans called Win32 Drac-C trj and KillAV- AII trj. I don't know much about using an antivus to remove it, but I tried to move it to the chest on my avast and it says virus chest is not running. I really need to clear these viruses off my laptop because I'm starting college in less than a week and I can't afford to pay to get my laptop fixed, if anyone can please help me fix my laptop with simple steps what the problem I'm doing wrong and how I can get it removed and virus free I really would appreciate it so much and I will give anyone 10 points, please help me cause i'm scared, this is my first time ever getting a virus :(

Answer:
One way is to go to your control panel, click on security, click on system restore, then let that take your comp.to a previous restore point.Once you get this cleared, uninstall Avast, and install Microsoft Security Esentials, its a lot better, and free.Hope this helped.

run the scanner with system restore off and run the scanner in safe mode
More software will not help. If an automated cleanup tool CAN do the job, it will have to be one that runs outside of the infected system. I usually pull the drive and scan it with Malware Bytes Anti-Malware for the ones I can't kill using ERD or system restore. Microsoft has a new tool that might be useful to you if you only have the one machine, the Standalone System Sweeper. The link is below...
I have PC Tools Spyware Doctor with anti virus(the free or paid version,i have the paid version) and PC Tools Firewall Plus.I highly recommend those for you. Also once you add PC Tools Firewall Plus go into your control panel and click on your windows firewall and turn your firewall back on. This will give you multiple firewall protection. I have a ongoing battle with virus/malware threats. We are mortal enemies. If you need any further advice here is my email address>[email protected]. Good luck.
You already got some good advice. Be aware of free anti-virus programs - they're free for a reason. Most anti-virus (paid for) companies have a free 30 day trial which you could download and use. We use Kaspersky within our computer repair shop and it has yet to let us down. There are also some free online scanners available from PC-Cillin and others. Don't just rely on an anti-virus program though. Get a malware scanner as well. A widely used one is Malware Bytes and the Emsisoft anti-malware program is also not bad. Malware programs are mostly free and quite reliable in what they detect. Whatever programs you decide to try, remember to do all the updates first before running your scan. Just a final word - seems you picked up trojans so a malware scanner would be the first step. Problem is, where there's malware there's sure to be a virus lurking about. Good luck!
uninstall it from control panel then "add or remove programs"... or uninstall it using revo uninstaller then download avira premium security suite.. http://www.avira.com/en/support-download-avira-premium-security-suite it can protect you from a virus and you are secure if you are browsing internet because it has internet protection
If you can`t remove it, copy any needed personal files to flash drive /cd/external (if the virus doesn`t prevent you from doing this) and restore your factory settings. Don`t as suggested use system restore as many viruses hide in the restore points. What`s your laptop make and model and which operating system?
I don't know about Avast, if you can, try to get McAfee Internet Security, McAfee Anti-Virus or McAfee Total Protection, not needed to pay, only a trial though. Will post link. So, full scan your Laptop. It SHOULD be able to show and fix any problems with your Laptop, actually, I just did a scan, turned out I got a Trojan, before I downloaded it, it said be very careful. I wasn't, but in less than half an hour McAfee IS saved me. So. That's my advice. If you cant download stuff I am sorry but 1. Either you keep it screwed. 2. You ask a more knowledgeable PC person in your family or a friend. 3. You kinda need to rack up some sort of cash to sort stuff out. Good luck... It sucks having a virus... Sorry if I couldn't help.
I usually do a search for any *.exe files that have installed since I've noticed a problem. If I don't recognize what it is, I look it up on the Internet to find out what program it belongs to. If it can't find it or it's a virus I go to the control panel and do the uninstall. Hasn't failed me in the last ten years or so.
