Is an art and design foundation course the same as art and design first diploma course?
-
they are both one year courses. thanks. x

Answer:
No My college runs them, Foundation Art and Design are designed for people who didn't get enough qualifications to do a two year BTEC course in Art and Desigh -equivilant to two A Levels- a Foundation in Art and Design gives you GCSE's if Im thinking right. A Foundation Dipolma course is a foundation course for universtity. Some people do them because they didnt get enough marks in their A Levels to progress to university, some people do them because theyre not yet ready for the full degree. You can sometimes do these courses at university. Hope that helps xoxo
