How to get out of going to my family Christmas party?

I'm going to a Sweet 16 party on Saturday and i have no idea what to wear?

  • Well this is my first sweet 16 party I got invited too. I have no idea what to wear, its going to be at a hibachi restaurant. My friends from school are going, so I know a few people going, so I won't be alone. And for a gift, what should I get her? I got her a $10 Borders gift card for Christmas last year, But this time I'm thinking of getting her a $20 gift card for Borders. You only turn 16 once in a life you know. So how should I dress, and is that gift alright? or should I give her something else?

    You should never over-dress for someone else's birthday. I would recommend wearing a cute sleeveless shirt with accessories and cute jeans and shoes. And as for the gift- Most girls love getting new clothes. I would say just buy her a gift certificate to the nearest mall. That way she can choose what she wants. I personally love to read, but not all people do. If you get a gift certificate for a mall she's not limited to anything. Goodluck!

wear a nice casual summer dress with wedges or heels. nothing to over the top. as for the gift card either give her cash or a visa gift card so she can spend it on whatever she wants, at least give her $25.
