Why are some people pretty and some people ugly?

Why do people do whos pretty and who's the ugly one questions?.?

• Come on girls and a few of you guys... Why would you set yourself up to be hurt by people who don't know you and who don't care about you? Honestly I think it's so stupid to do that to yourself. Everyone is beautiful in their own way but people are cruel dont ask something that people get to say whatever they want to it. Ladies please stop doing it because your just going to feel worse about yourself. And if your comparing yourself to your friend or sister or whoever if they saw that what would they think of you? How would they feel? And how would you feel after you saw a comment about yourself that was negative. Think about it wouldnt you rather just feel beautiful in your own skin and accept you for you and not care what other people think. I want you to do something for me, every time you see a picture, movie, or even just a person in front of you that you think is prettier than you or skinnier, richer, or taller tell yourself you are as pretty or you are as rich maybe not with money but with happiness. I'm not a therapist but I do know what it feels like to be insecure. I have scoliosis which is the curvature of the spine, I lean over to one side and people stare a lot but when I see them starring I saw to myself " they think I'm beautiful and I am." so stop trying to compare yourself and love yourself the way you are and please please never commit suicide or hurt yourself in anyway because you don't feel good about your appearance just know that there are people that love and care about you. It could be your parents, friends, or people that you never thought were your friends. And please be nice to everyone no matter how they look or act they are just as special as everyone else is.

  Well, this is a nice thing you're doing here. To answer your question though, many people soak up compliments while laughing off negativity. It's also a good place to get an honest opinion, stranger's are more likely to be blunt and straight up than friends or family. Everyone likes to see how other's percieve them without personality brightening a smile or giving extra life to their eyes. Getting opinions is one thing, saying you're going to kill yourself over negative remarks is a whole 'nother can of worms. In those cases, the people usually are looking for an excuse they can use to justify their self harm, or just attract attention to make themselves feel more worth while or valued. Being nice can be more harmful than being truthful. Why lie to yourself and orhers? Physical appearance is important in this world. It's the first thing most see, and to say otherwise is a bit delusional. It's not 'right', but it's the way it is. Humans are like that. If everyone was judged off personality, most would be found sorely lacking, conformity's a wench like that. Everyone should treat others as they wish to be treated, but human motivations can be complicated and deep, maybe someone firing off a nasty comment on someone's looks wants the opportunity to argue the superiority of their own, or maybe they want to be justified in their hatred. 'I may have started it, but look at all of you, you're off your high horses and down to my level'. And personally, some people need flat out remarks to see the hard truth and believe it. I appriciate your message here, and I hope you've done some good. Personally, I don't take much stalk in physical appearance. Everyone has beauty in them, and everyone's a miracle.
