What color contacts should I get?

  • I have light tan skin and I have black hair. i know its not a lot of detail but what color should I get? I have 20/20 vision but Im going to get non-vision correcting lenses. I just thought I would look awesome in contacts. My original eye color is brown and I was thinking something like gray or maybe out of the ordinary. Like I was even thinking getting purple once. Links would be great so please post one. What color should I get? i dont care if my eyes would catch people's attention cuz Im forced to stare at people's faces everyday in the subway since its so crowded. People have told me I have nice eyes but I just thought colored eyes would be fun.

    Brown eyes is hard to cover with another colour, especially if your eye colour is on the darker side. You'd have to search for opaque coloured lens or something with a lot of coverage or else the colour you choose will blend with the brown (and that doesn't look good) or it won't make much difference at all. Also if you've never worn contacts before they might be a pain to put them on and take them off. They can also make your eyes water like crazy. I don't need contacts for vision but I have owned coloured contacts before. I found that it took me at least 15 minutes to put them on and once I did my eyes watered like crazy and were red. I have hazel eyes (brownish-green) and I found that blue contacts looked scary. The part around your pupil looked really weird for some reason and it made me look like I have reptile eyes haha. I liked light green contacts the most as I found they looked the most natural on me (I also have black hair).

I think you should get green.

Well if you are looking for your eye color to be somewhat believable then stick to colors that are closer to your natural eye color since you have brown eyes then something like gray or lighter brown or even purple would work and not make you look like completely out of your mind. Although green is pushing it, it would look nice with light tan skin and dark hair like yours.
