Answer:
If you go to a salon it can be very expensive. I paid 60 quid for 2 half leg (to the knee) and a hollywood wax. Doing it at home can be a lot cheaper. I'm not sure where you're from but in the uk veet do ready to use wax strips which are MUCH easier to use than hot wax. They cost around 5 quid for a pack of 20 and each strip can be used more than once. My tips are the day before use a body scrub on the area you're waxing to remove any skin that may be blocking your pores causing ingrown hairs. Then about an hour before you wax take some painkillers. Something like paracetamol or even some co codamol from your pharmacy. This helps a lot with the pain of waxing. When you remove the wax strip pull your skin tight and pull it away fast and it will hurt less. You need to make sure that you pull the strip off towards you and not just upwards as this can stop the strip coming away in one clean pull and can even cause bruising. The pain levels depends on whether you have a high pain threshold and also how thick your hairs are. If you have exfoliated well the day before the wax will grip the hairs better and not just pull off a load of dead skin. My advice is to give it a go. Depending on how fast your hair grows you may not need to do it again for 6 weeks but in my experience that is rare. Mine usually lasts 3 to 4 weeks and the pain definately lessens the more you do it. So try it and if it is too painful you can always stop and just shave the rest off. Your skin may be red and hot after waxing, but you can help this by keeping some aloe vera gel (you can get it from health food shops or from the net) in the fridge and then applying some to the red area straight from the fridge. The coldness soothes straight away and the aloe vera will help heal. Hope this helps

If you're thinking just the legs then i'd say slather on the hair removal cream, Nair for example.
