Can I suddenly be allergic to my eyeliner?

...how can i tell my parents that i want to wear eyeliner.?

  • i know i can just go "hey mom and dad i want to wear eyeliner already" ...im 13 years old who is almost 14, my parents are strict, they always go "you're already pretty you need to wear eyeliner" im pretty sure they're just saying that so i wont wear any, but it wont work. i have lost all of my self-esteem, and i just thought wearing eyeliner JUST eyeliner would give me a bit confidence. i wanna see how it looks on me. everyone in my school wears makeup but i just want to use eyeliner ( NO i dont wanna wear eyeliner just to "fit in" or "be like them") no answers saying " accept who you are" blah. my sister just wore it without my parent's permission they seemed a bit angry at her my mom and dad doesnt want us to "grow up" immediately, he doesnt even allow me to wear nail polish( well i do without permission then he would get mad and tell me to remove it) i love my parents and i could just do it without permission but i dont like seeing them being disappointed.

try wearing an eyeliner then show it to your parents, don't use too much eyeliner, just make it light. black thin eyeliner. I'm sure they will approve you for using an eyeliner if you show them how you wear an eyeliner.

Well what I did was ask my mum every now and then - not in an annoying way - just asked politely. My parents were just like yours. I started with mascara. It's not as noticeable and if done right is just as good for your self esteem. Next I used powered foundation. Just use a bit every now and then. If she asks why you're using it just say you're trying it out. If you want specifically eyeliner just use a bit and try it out. Just see if it looks okay and ask your mum if she likes it. Just try asking her. Maybe she will go for mascara more?

just say "can i wear eyeliner?". if they say "NO", just put it on lightly. then as time goes on gradually put it on a little heavier. they won't notice. adults don't pay attention to things as much you think. when i was a child i got away with so much. now that i am an adult i see why and how i did.

You are definitely old enough. Talk to them, don't do it without their permission. Maybe bring it up during dinner? Just say... Mom, dad.. eyeliner is just a way to express myself and to bring out natural beauty! it's nothing bad, and i'm really into makeup and want to experiment with it. i honestly do not know what is wrong about it? i want to see how it looks on me, and it will make me feel super confident(: i know you say im already pretty and such, but i want to add a little bazamm to my look! i respect your guys opinion so if you really don't want me to i wont. you can even offer to try some on, just to show the little amount you have on and how it makes your eyes pop! hopefully it will work!

i reccomend using some light brown light eyeliner, and showing your parents, when your just chilling at your house. put it on lightly, and if they can see you won't look like lady gaga 24/7 just becasue your wearing makeup.
