How to cover acne scars with makeup?

  • All the acne scarring on my face has been making my skin age faster than it's supposed to. What are some makeup tips that will make me look my age? I have medium toned skin. I'm blasian (half-black, half-asian) if that helps you get an idea. The scars are really dark and brown. I'm 13 years old, 8th grade in Middle School, but I look about 16 right now. I have a bunch of makeup, I'm just not sure how to use it. Should I just cake a bunch of makeup over the scars? I legit don't know what I'm doing.

    Oh I read a solution in Cosmopolitan magazine! Haven't tried it so hopefully it works :) Get a silicone-based primer (usually ingredients end in -one) apply it over the scar in outward motions in an x (from scar outward) let set, then apply your tone of concealer in the same X outward motion you applied with the silicone-based primer Go ahead and lightly apply foundation (if you might smear the concealer, try going outward with the foundation as well in an X) Good luck and hope this helps. These are the items you'll need 1: concealer 2:foundation 3:face powder loose or pressed will work 4: concealer brush 5:foundation brush 6:powder brush Take your concealer brush and put a little concealer on it dab it on the acne marks. Then after that you want to use your foundation brush to apply the foundation all over your face make sure to use blend it onto your neck.Then you just apply your powder all over your face again making sure to blend onto your neck. This should cover your marks just fine. Hope this helps you

My friend goes to a dermatologist and gets special makeup that does a real good job covering the scars. Also, she has undergone several laser treatments to smooth out her skin. Her skin looks very nice now. She had awful pitted acne scars from when she was a teen.

You're only 13.. don't wear to much makeup, you're seriously gonna ruin your skin more & regret it. and plus, if you wear too much makeup in middle school people are just gonna think you're trying to hard. Trust me. And personally, I wouldn't use makeup.. get some acne gel that helps with acne scarring, it helped me alot! I used one from neutrogena. It's really good :)

Ive found that qtips are a cheap solution. Put a dab of coverup on the qtip. Lightly tap the qtip on the scar and then start spreading it out in a circular motion. Then blend.
