mary kay is more reputable

Avon is more affordable for the average person. But in my experience (i have had a friends who worked for both) The Mary Kay seemed more reputable. Plus, I personally like the mary kay product better than avon. So, if approached, i would by from mary kay before i go avon. I always say, you get what you pay for....

Ì've been an Avon Lady and a Mary Kay Consultant. Mary Kay wins hands down. The training is far more professional and helpful, the support is incredible, the helpline is an amazing source of information and accuracy. You make a lot more money with Mary Kay. You can earn several cars and no other company in the world gives you the opportunity to become an financially independent business entrepreneur. If you look at it as a business that requires the time, effort and investment that a business requires, then you will achieve success. The products are second to none ! ! ! They are top quality. Also, Mary Kay company has been listed as one of the top 10 companies to work for. The company and the Mary Kay directors and other consultants build and support each other up the ladder of success. There's no need for competition since everyone who does well, gets rewarded the same way. I have been a Mary Kay consultant for almost 3 years now. The clients are some of the nicest people you will build a business relationship with, for life. I love the business, I love the clients and I love the products. I want to die a Mary Kay consultant ! You really need to sit down with someone from both companies to compare there are so many differences. Both are good reputable companies however they are run differently so it depends on what you are looking for and what you like best. I think it is important to love the products you sell have you tried either? Mary Kay - has smaller line of products focusing on skin care also caries body care fragrances men's line and of course make up. The items are more expensive more comparable to department store so you make more faster and usually have a good reorder business. It cost more to start however you get more then your monies worth in the start kit and it is a business write off. The catalogs only change with the season quarterly so you only buy books 4 times a year. You have the option of purchasing a website for only $25 the first year $50 each year after. Avon pay less to start so worth the risk to see if it works sell many more items at a lower cost this is good and bad you need to work harder to make money however might get more people interested because of the low cost. Books change frequently about every two weeks. Don't know much more My Mary KAy Director and several of my Mary KAy customer's sold it at one point all say the same hard to make money complicated business you need to earn your discount percentage. Good luck.

Well, it all depends on which one best suits you, avon works for my skin and keeps me from having breakouts, but my friend is the opposite, mary kay works best for her, take a little of both and see which works best.

Avon because I think it has better products and more affordable. I am doing ok off it, but you really have to get out there and be brave if you want to make any decent money off it.

I have been a MK consultant for over 4 years. Before MK, I sold Avon. I have made much more money selling Mary Kay, and the company, philosophies, and business plan are MUCH better with Mary Kay. I'm happy to answer any specific questions that you have - you can message me through my avatar. Good luck with whatever you decide to go with!

I agree with the person who mentioned talking with someone from both companies. What do you want to get out of the experience? What are your dreams/goals? What amount of time do you want to invest? Does the people you know/see on a regular basis have a preference? By answering all these questions I can help you determine if Avon is right for you.

When you join Avon it is your business so you do what you choose to do with it as you please. Personally for me it has been worth while. I am able to make $250 every 2 weeks in addition to my full time income. Not sure if you are aware but now you can sign up to become a representative online now. Plus, with all the support that is available out there you should be able to make a great income.
