How I keep my makeup looking fresh through ought the school day?

  • I wash my face with Neutrogina Oil Free Acne Wash and its the Grapefruit scented kind in the mornings and at night. In the mornings before school I wash my face with that, then put on some primer, put on liquid makeup..( its called Makeup Forever) then I put some white powder on and its supposed to keep my makeup looking fresh all day. But its still so frustraiting how stupid girls at school say "Uhh....your makeups melting." And when I check the mirror right after lunch.. IT IS MELTING! Everyone elses skin looks so good at school and I feel like everyones staring at my nasty skin.. its so annoying. Any tips? Pleaseee help. (BTW ; I have already tried powder makeup like bare minerals.. it did the same exact thing)

    Maybe make sure your face is thoroughly dry first after washing and no oil or anything i left on your face.My friend is obsessed with make up lol and she told me for bottom eyeliner to stay longer get a q-tip and put it on your water line then put on the eyeliner, for mascara get waterproof long lasting mascara but with this you have to wash off every night because it is water proof and it's hard to get off. water proof liquid eyeliner and try a different primer. girls at my school re-apply make up all fricken day well maybe like every 4 periods try looking for waterproof stuff because i had a problem with this too and it was because it was humid hope i helped :)

Don't wear makeup....

Try a different powder. I use the Covergirl Clean powder and it keeps my face fresh and not melting all day, to get even better results you should use the Covergirl Clean foundation which go together and you should never melt away again! (:

Have you tried HD Invisible cover foundation? It gives a smooth finish and does not melt like you mentioned for other make-ups. Other reason why your make-up is melting might be because of excessive sweating. 1st of all you need to add moisturizer to your daily routine and take out liquid foundation. Try a tinted moisturizer or no makep at all. Keep using a primer.

Well, Alexandra, I'll give you some of the same advice I just gave another person to a question that was somewhat related. You don't say if whether or not you actually have acne, just that you use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. But I started with acne at 12, and at 60, I still have occasional breakouts and have lasting scars. It was always a problem for my make up to last until I started this regimen. I've tried it all, but here is what I find works best. Try starting with MAC Matte Creme Matifiante which will keep the oil from breaking through, while at the same time, will give you a great "slip" for applying foundation next. Then, apply Estee Lauder Double Matte foundation (best I've ever found) in your proper shade, then lightly cover your foundation with Origins All or Nothing Sheer Finishing Powder. It works well for me, and it might for you also. Good luck!

I hate liquid makeup. Get a makeup that suits you but obviously liquid makeup isn't working for you. May I suggest Revlon, Aussie Mineral Makeup, Covergirl, L.A. Color, Sephora.
