Acne problems help please?

Acne Problems,What do i use to help cover it up. PLEASE HELP!?!?

  • Okay so i've had bad acne since i was like 12 or thirteen. It has become more of a problem throughout the years. I'm fifteen now and i would like to feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm went to see a dermatologist and my acne seems to be clearing up. However, it's not completely clean i have like those white pimples and acne scars on my face. What kind of make up should i use to help cover it, but look the most natural as possible. I have used the powder that they sell at the body works, but it just makes them looks crusty and makes me look ugly. So can you please help me with this. Like i said before, i want to find an affordable make up that i can put on my face to help cover up my acne and acne scars. I am pretty new at this so what do i use. Please help me.

I also am in about the same boat you are. I never had bad acne, but now at 14, I do have some whiteheads and mild acne. I was at Ulta today, when I came across this amazing concealer that is also a medicated Acne Treatment. It is a little pricy ($21), but I think it is worth it. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod890620 I think any medicated concealer would work well for you. (:

Mineral Makeups are great. I also used to have quite bad acne and went on skin tablets and am now on the pill which has helped tremendously. Try and look for foundations that are Noncomedogenic (A product marked noncomedogenic does not contain ingredients proven to cause pore blockages) This is very important! Liquid foundations tend to go on a bit better on acne prone skin than a powder will as a powder can sometimes clump around the acne or give you a very powdery look. A very light finishing powder, however, applied very lightly after your foundation and concealer, can really help. Concealer again should be noncomedogenic and its probably a better idea to go for something that isn't very chalky as that tends to not sit too well on the skin. I actually use foundation as a concealer and pat it on and then apply a little more if needed. Unfortunately if you have a bump, you have a bump! no amount of concealer is going to make it go away, but a little more foundation patted on very lightly can help a lot with concealing the redness. Another thing to try is a green stick, I haven't really liked using them in the past but they are apparently good with concealing redness and you pop a little on under your foundation and then build over it from what I remember. The most important thing is to prevent irritation and acne from occurring in the first place, and noncomedogenic products will do this for you.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid, best coverage foundation out there. only $26.

NEUTROGENA HEALTHY SKINS LIQUID MAKE UP....its a cover up foundation. about 8 dollars at drugstores, wal mart, and walgreens. i use it and omg its amazing!

Ok heres what i use btw i l-o-v-e neutrogena!!!! first i use: neutrogena SKINCLEARING oil- free concealer ( its on the spot treatment) second i use: neutrogena mineral sheers to finish the touch!!!

I take modeling classes and I use Clearasil tinted acne cream as my t.v. -touch for class. it covers them lightly with a layer of medicine, but it's flesh-tone so no one can see them. Go for a tone that's ONE shade lighter than your natural. as long as you use a thin enough layer it's not noticeable.

I've dealt with the same type of skin for quite some time. Here's part of my beauty regimen: 1. Wash face with st. ives apricot scrub (to get of dead skin) 2. Moisturize with Cetaphil dry skin cream (a thin layer, don't glob it on b/c it's pretty rich) 3. Apply Almay Clear complexion concealer wherever needed (sometimes I will put it all over my face like foundation if I want a heavier makeup look). If the zits still look flakey after you put the concealer on, put a little more lotion on them, and the try the concealer again. 4. Finish with Almay Clear Complexion pressed powder (you can skip this if you don't wear powder, but it does help to even out skin tone). I find that almay concealer cover pretty well, and the powder adds a little extra coverage. I think if you use an exfoliant anywhere from 3x a week to every morning plus a moisturizer you'll have a lot better luck with makeup.

Neutrogena skincare products are amazing. They'll help keep the breakouts at bay. For me, they worked better than any crap the dermatologist had me fork big $ out for. The prescription stuff was always too harsh. As far as make-up. I use Bare Minerals or Mac Skinfinish Pressed Mineral powder. Physician's Formula (drugstore brand) is also good from what my friends who use it say.
