Best drugstore makeup brand to get and why?

Which makeup brand is best?

  • After wearing drugstore brands forever, I'm starting to get into buying more expensive makeup. Right now I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on an eyeshadow palette...I really want there to be a few neutrals in it, but some color would be nice too. I've heard great things about MAC, but I don't know if it's worth all of the money. I really like Urban Decay and Too Faced. Does anyone have experience with these brands or another brand at Sephora who can give me advice? I'm also deciding between the Urban Decay Primer Potion and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

    I LOVE Urban Decay eyeshadow palates, in my opinion, you can never have too many. They are richly pigmented and have a variety of colors, some shimmer some sparkle and some are just matte. I love the variety and everything about them. Currently, I'm in love with the Alice in Wonderland, mostly because its new so the excitement hasn't worn off :) I use the UDPP with it, and I have used the Too Faced too, but since I use the UD eyeshadows, I just as soon stick with the UDPP, and it works wonderfully. Too Faced does have a neutral eyes palate out right now that looks beautiful and I plan on purchasing it soon. Too Faced has some shimmer to their shadows, but its not over the top and sparkly like pretty much all of the UD shadows are. I suggest going into Sephora and really looking at the pigmentation and colors in specific palates before you make your decision. And a lot of them come with trial sized eyelid primer so you can see if you really like it before spending so much money. And I'm really not a fan of MAC :/, I think there are a lot more brands that better suit my skin for more reasonable prices. But thats just me :)

Personally i would recommend MAC! I think its the best makeup brand. &most popular too And it has a wide variety of colors.

MAC is great! I love it! If you want a palette get the Coastal Scents 88 Palette. It's only about $20, and totally worth it!

Clinique makeup is my all time favourite makeup brand, the quality is amazing, the packaging is cool and it's been a worldwide bestselling makeup brand for years. I do also like Too Faced and have used their lip plumpers and eye shadows in the past but I still think clinique makeup is nicer. You can pick up both these brands at really low prices if you need to save money from http://www.discount-cosmetics.net (worldwide delivery) and that way you can try lots of products without spending money you do not have. No point in spending full price if you can buy the same products for less than half price!

MAC may be expensive but it doesn't mean it's the best. Try going into sephora they have a lot of different brands. Drugstore makeup is cheap but it doesn't mean it's not good. You should get Too Faced Shadow Insurance cause it comes with more product and you don't need to depot it cause Urban Decay Primer Potion if you cut it open there is still alot and you wanna take time to depot it. And they are basically the same thing.

MAC has some really great colors, however I find some of their colors are not as bright as I want them to be. Urban DEcay has some really pigmented colors and right now they have a bunch of palettes which can be from $36 to $52. Best thing to do would be to go on Amazon.com or even CoastalScents.com and get their 88 palette (its fairly priced) and from the reviews Ive seen on Youtube, people love it (again some don't show up as bright like the gold color) but you can always buy one eye shadow pot from MAC ( I love MAC's amber lights; its a golden color)...I heard Urban decay's primer potion is really good...OH n btw get a duo fiber brush for foundation (it really helps give that flawless look) if your on a little budget, they have them at Target for under $10

AVON's 12-in-1 eyeshadow palette is great, also the 8-in-1 palette in watercolors and paradise greens. paired with their waterproof glimmerstick in black, it comes out very nicely. also, you get more for the money. don't believe the hype around designer stuff like MAC. its way overpriced for the quality of the product.
