Make-up for acne scars?

Foundation makeup for guys, with mild non red acne scars? HELP?

  • Hi, im going for an audition and dont want the people to see my acne scars. I'm not cheating them or nything because they can cover it up with their makeup once i get the job ( i think positive lol) but i just dont want to give them to keep looking at my face while im auditioning for them. My scars arent nything big, there just slowely going away and arent bumpy, but just flat along my skin. like if you were to feel my skin you wouldnt think i had scars, there just little spots is all. Does nyone know what i should do to cover them up? i heard foundation but i want to make sure so i dont have to resort to imaculating myself with makeup lmao. Thanks people!

You need a liquid or cream concealer suitable for your skin-tone, blended well with a makeup sponge. You can get a decent drugstore-brand concealer for around $10. Bag of assorted makeup sponges sell for very cheap at discount stores :-) To ''set'' the makeup so it doesn't smudge throughout the day, apply a translucent powder with a decent powder brush and blend very well. It's best to do this in proper, natural lighting. Good luck!

I'm not sure if you intended to buy something online or go into a store and buy it, and I'm not sure where you live either, but I have two pieces of advice. If you have time, order liquid cover up from Vasanti Cosmetics. I've linked their US/International website, and a "makeuover" on someone withacne scars. This product has amazing coverage, comes in a wide range of shades, and blends in with your natural skin perfectly. If you are short on time, go to your local pharmacy counter, MAC counter or any other makeup counter and ask them to cover your acne scars, and buy whatever product they use. They will keep trying until you get the result you want!

ahha you know what? so it doesnt seem like your using makeup.. mix foundation with lotion.. half and half. so it becomes a tinted mousturizer.

Maybelline NY Instand Age Rewind Double Face Perfector.. it is AMAZING. I love it to peices. Its in a doubled sided tube, one side is concealer and the other is a highlighter. Just match the cap to your skin tone and your good to go. :] Search an image for it on google and you can find it at any local drug store. Its about $5 :] Hope it works for you!

first, try to get rid of the scars. get neutrogena 2 in 1 rapid fade acne gel. its in an orange tube and works well, use it as a spot treatment until the entire tube is gone. liquid makeup would look best. try liquid concealer and tinted moisturizer. it will look very natural. and stay away from powder. maybelline and neutrogena are good brands.

my guy friend prefers clinique makeup.

no not foundation. what you need is a good concealer. ohk? go to the store and buy " maybelline dream mousse concealer" you only just DAB it on the spots and blend with your finger. do not put it all over. only on spots. :) good luck!

I think there's a lot of good answers here. But, just a little side note on all of those: make sure that whatever product you get, you get something that won't cause you to break out. If you are prone to break-outs (people who don't regularly use makeup usually break out if they don't apply the right type of foundation or concealer for their skin), you will want to look for a product that is HYPOALLERGENIC, FRAGRANCE-FREE, & preferably DERMATOLOGIST RECOMMENDED. The last thing you want to do before your audition is have irritated or broken out skin. My recommendation is mineral makeup because it is the least likely to bother your skin. In fact, it may even help heal your skin. Also, I think mineral makeup is a good choice for you because liquid is going to give you coverage, but it will be really obvious depending on what kind of lighting you are in. Mineral makeup will give you a flawless, no-makeup look... which will be the least immasculating. And, don't forget: proper skin care (gentle cleanser, exfoliating, moisturiser & sun screen) as well as proper diet and exercise will really make your skin glow and stay sexy! Good luck on your audition.

honestly i dont think they will be looking at your face. since they are jjudges and looking for whatever your auditioning for then they are definitly going to look past your skin. and only look at your talent. so i dont think you should wear makeup. buut if you really want to....then it depends on how much. like are they big? are they small? cause like concealer will help you. cause you need to get up right underneath or on the sides of the red spot. and then foundation will help hide the concealer. but sometimes the concealer is enough. hopefully.....i helped. and hopefully.......you wont go the makeup route. cuase like i said before, their not going to look for acne, their looking for talent. you can get these items at like cvs, target, any drug store. and make sure it matches your skin tone perfectly. goodluck

Go to the MAC Store or MAC Counter. One, they make makeup for the stage and have great coverage in tons of skin colors. Two, they have a lot of men that work there and wear makeup so they won't be judgmental and weird about a guy asking for makeup. I think these guys are the best to make sure you have something that matches AND covers. Good luck with the audition!!!
