Dry Skin Causes Foundation To Look TERRIBLE!?

  • I don't tend to wear foundation but when my friend gave me some because her skin was too pale, i accepted it. It was a mousse foundation(dream matte mousse). I started to wear it but it looks terrible =[ .. it's supposed to leave ur skin looking flawless but it makes mine look dry and flakey, it might be the lack of vitamins becuz my family hav quite oily skins. I only eat one meat > Chicken, because i don't like the texture and it makes me feel bad on eating other animals. Do i need to eat more meats just to wear this foundation or is there some other foundation for my skin which you can proscribe?

^Not sure what that girls talking about, POWDER is going to make dry skin even dryer. Get a tinted moisturiser or a liquid foundation as these will be better for your skin type. Make sure you don't use products that say for oily skin and always moisturise

you should put on a moisturizing lotion for a few weeks. So your skin can look healthy and less dry. then you can use liquid foundation instead of mouse. Mouse is really tick so it can look like you have a pound of makeup on your face. I personally use liquid to powder foundation

I use the dream matte mousse :] & I do this and it works (x Basically, put lotion/moisturizer (the ones that help with dry skin) on before you go to bed, and also after a shower.. and then that should help your skin.. so that when you put the foundation on, it'll look better and not dry/flaky etc (x

covermark is the best for oily skin beleive me very long lastin and professional foundation

hah.. no eating more meat has nothing to do with the way your makeup wears. Try exfoliating and add a light moisturizer before applying your foundation.

Watch this video, it has some really great tips for skin care. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wWZhGfurN4 and yes sadly dry skin does cause foundation to look bad but if you exfoliate with this easy home made face scrub 1-2 a week then you should be all set: Extra Virgin olive oil (hydrates skin) , sugar (exfoliates) a little bit of water (helps make the mask spread) and honey. I use this scrub and it makes my face feel soooooo good after. try it :)

Same thing happens to me and I hate it :p Try using an oil free moisturizer and/or face primer before you apply your makeup Also, it could be because it's winter and the cold dries out your skin? (unless you live somewhere warm..) but drink lots of water to hydrate your skin This is the mosturizer I use, you can get it at Walgreens or anyother drug store for $9.99 http://www.walgreens.com/store/catalog/Moisturizing/Oil-Free-Moisture-Lotion/ID=prod6035&navCount=1&navAction=push-product?V=G&ec=frgl_707095&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=sku306035 And this is the face primer I use, you can get a 0.34oz for $9 or 1.01ox for $28 at sephora http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P235200 And, I looked up some reviews on that product (and my sister has also used it) it's supposed to make your skin breathe but idk people say that it doesn't last all day and isnt waterproof. After I mosturize I usually start with a stick concealer, dot all my blemishes and then use Maybelline New York Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation

ACTUALLY the foods you eat does affect your skin!!! The more vitamins and minerals you eat the better your skin glows and will be alot more healthy. You can find recipes that don't have meat but will give you the same vitamin and mineral content on the net so have a good browse. Or look for a vegetarian cook book. EXFOLIATING is very important so do that once or twice a day but not if you have pimples as exfoliating can tear the skin and cause scaring. I use The Body Shop Seaweed Facial Scrub which doesn't cost alot and is gentle on the face. Drink PLENTY of water a day (at least 2ltrs) and I promise your skin will look better in a few days. And every time after you wash your face use a moisturiser!!! I use Clinique Antioxidant Night cream but you can use this during the day. Use the dry to very dry one but change to one that's not so moisturising as you wont need so much moisture when your skin is naturally more moist. Go somewhere that sells Clinique and ask your store assistant for help. Your make up wont stop looking flakey till your skin isn't as dry. I also use Clinique Mineral Liquid Foundation as this spreads well. Unfortunatly everyone has different skin. I know some girls that have skin which they don't ever exfoliate or moisturise and have not one flakey bit of skin...mine on the other hand takes some maintainence :(

yeah........ i think you should try a moisturising base before you put on any foundation or even try foundation that has added moisturises added here i have put a link to a foundation what i use and it is wonderful for me http://www.superdrug.com/Moisturiser/OLAY-TOTAL-EFFECTS-TOUCH-OF-FOUNDATION-LIGHT/invt/583774&bklist=

same thing happens to me.try just using powder believe me it will look better even though you will have to be applying often.
