How you you make eyeliner stay on better with eyeshadow primer?

• I recently bought "Urban Decay Primer Potion" and "Wet 'n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner". I'm still really bad at putting on cream liner, but I want to stick to cream/gel liners because I heard they last longer and smudge less. I put on primer first, and then put on my eyeliner. If I mess up my eyeliner, I have to use eye makeup remover on a q-tip to remove the mishaps. When I do that, I also remove the primer sometimes. My questions are: If I reapply eyeliner, is it okay to put on eyeliner first and then put primer over it? Or should I reapply primer first again, and then redo eyeliner? If I want to make my eyeliner smear less, does placing "finishing powder" over the eyes also help to make it smear less?

  You should put on primer, then apply eyeliner. If you mess it up the smartest thing to do is remove it all, re-apply primer and eyeliner. And yeah, finishing powder will make it smear less. But it might also 'wash' the color a bit away.
