How to deal with combination(dry and oily) hair?

How do you fix oily hair?

  • I've tried everything (or just about) About a year or two ago my hair started getting really oily. I've tried switching shampoos, those labeled "for thin/oily hair" and those sulfate free ones. Mouthwash worked once, just once. I've tried using baking soda and baking soda with shampoo. I've tried baking soda and skipping a few days and it still gets oily and usually really oily within 24hrs. So it's not like I'm skipping days, just trying to go a few hours. Also it's not your normal oily either. Almost as if someone pour olive oil all over my head. I've also cut out conditioner use. I've also tried dry shampoo and still oily it almost doesn't help at all. Like the dry shampoo doesn't help at all. Are there any other remedies to try and fix this?

baby powder absorbs the oils and you can wash it every day or more often? :)

my old roommate used to out a little bit of baby powder on her roots and it would help her absorbs her oil all day...she said it worked really well for her...i hope i helped =)
