What's the maximum hair length for a boy?

  • Just out of curiosity, what's the maximum length of hair a boy can get away with without looking ugly? Please give me your opinion as a male/female, guy/girl. A few considerations: - The boys age will be between 15-25. - His hair is nicely trimmed and well kept. So no greasy, uncombed hair with split ends. - I focus on sleek, straight hair. The options to pick from. What's the maximum in your view: 1: His hair is short. It's max. 2 inches long. The average haircut for a boy. 2: His hair is collar length in the back and his bangs are eyebrow length. 3: His hair is collar length in the back.His bangs fall in front of his eyes. He is constantly shaking is head to keep a clear vision. 4: His hair is at shoulders length in the back, but his bangs are at eyebrow's length. 5: His hair is at shoulders length in the back. His hair covers his ears and in the front it falls to his jaw. When he moves his hair falls in his face and he has to tuck it behind his ears. 6: His hair is at one length. In the back, it reaches just past his shoulders. In front, it covers his face entirely, so he tucks it behind his ears constantly. He is considering a ponytail or headband, because he gets a bit annoyed with his hair. 7: His hair is way past his shoulderblades. Everywhere he goes he has to bring a comb to tidy his hair and a ponytail-holder to tie his hair back. What number would you pick and would you be so kind to explain your choice? Even so, tell me if hairaccessories (ponytails, headband, pigtails, hair in a bun, bandana) are acceptable in your opinion. Thanks.

    Umm.. it really depends on the guy, but typically the guys I find really cute have hair that's somewhere between options 1 and 2 in length. But all lengths can look good and all are "acceptable" - I think guys and girls can do whatever they want with their hair. It's not the length of his hair that will make him look bad - it's how he takes care of it and presents himself (not to mention how he acts!)

Can I pick all of them? I think that really anything is acceptable. How a person (man or woman) wears their hair is a form of self expression. Some use it to show conformity, others the exact opposite. Personally, my hubby has long hair, and I've always been attracted to men with shaggier hair, if not full on long ponytails. I like 'em au naturale though. Others would completely disagree - but, that doesn't mean that any hairstyle should be "unacceptable".

I really think it depends on the guy, but I personally am not attracted to guys with super long hair. Max for me is shoulder length short bangs. I think bandannas and low ponytails are acceptable, buns and high ponytails are NOT. If a guy chooses to have really long hair, he should DEFINITELY take care of it.
