How do you blend correctly?

How to blend in extensions, please help! desperate!?

• I have used extensions for years and was great with them, till i got my hair cut, i got it cut into a style like this http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/image-library/port/376/t/taylor-momsen-nygala-awi-3.jpg my hair is just past my sholders now, and has lots of layers in it, the shortest at the top being about 4" and choppy. when i try and wear my extensions now, you can see the short layer of hair at the top that is like 4 inches long, then the rest is long (extensions) it doesnt blend and looks obvious (i didnt ask the hairdressr to do this she just did it, i was very upset!) does anybody know a way to blend short layers into longish (14") extensions? so my natural short layer doesnt stand out at the top of my head? thankyou :)

  honestly, i had a mishap of this before and don't do it...let your hair grow out a little first. It will look heavy and obvious and hard to blend... if you still wanna do it ask a salon stylist how.
