How to make hair soft and very silky?

How to make my hair extra soft and silky?

  • my hair is generally quite healthy and soft, I am very concious of how I care for my hair. I usually won't straighten it more than once a week. I am a teen, and wanted to know any secrets/ tips/ tricks/ products to get that extra softness and silkiness in my hair. I have used a few deep conditioners and they work, but then my hair gets used to it and I don't get the same result I heard a few people say mayo in the hair? but I'm not sure if I want to do that.. what are some good homemade treatments/ storebought products I can use? and that aren't too expensive. Thank you!

how much times a week do you wash your hair? every night? 2 times a week is more than enough. I used to wash my hair everyday but I was told by hairdresser that twice a week is more than enough. When you do wash it, though use more conditioner than you probably use now( should). If you do swimming or something which involves wetting your hair wash it straight after an don't dry it with a hair dryer!! it will wreck your air. So does straightening as it burns your hair. Dont wash your hair everyday hop e I helped ( im a teen 2) :)

I'm also a teenager and I'm using Dove shampoo and conditioner. After you shower, towel dry your hair only part way though, maybe so it's 3/4 dry. You don't want it to be too wet, or too dry. A little more than damp. Then put moose in it (I use suave) only at the roots, towel dry your hair just a little more to make sure you can't see any more moose. Then blow dry your hair. Your hair will probably end up a little straight and mine feels soft and silky. Dove and suave aren't too expensive. I think $2 or $3.

One day... deep condition it and the day after put mayo and eggs in your hair and leave it in for an hour. I did it and I straighten my hair every day so I get good hair results even when I wreck it. Also, try buying heat protectant for your hair before you straighten to reduce the risk of damaging hair.

Try some warm olive oil. Put it onto dry hair, put a shower cap on, wrap a towel around your head, and leave it on for as long as you like. When you get sick of all that on your head, wash it out as normal. You can do this once a week. Have your hair trimmed every six weeks. Eggs will put protein in your hair, which will make it stronger (just make sure you wash it out well, or it will stink), but you need moisture. As long as your hair isn't thin, you can try All Soft by Redken. If it is thin, try Clear Moisture by Redken. Use almond oil and your hair will grow damn fast. Use it twice a week. If you want a bit of extra shine mix a bit of lemon juice and vinegar in a glass of water and (DRINK IT!-Just kidding! :P) rinse your hair with it after shampooing. Each morning before you bathe rub 1/2 cup of sesame oil in your hair. Wait ten minutes, then brush it through your hair with a natural bristle brush. Do not use hot water while rinsing.

Well to keep hair healthy and silky, I use olive oil (for hair) and just massage it into scalp and put on entire head tie it into a plait or ponytail or whatever...sleep with it in and then wash it out in the morning...trust me it works and it nourishes your head. You should do it once every week or once every two weeks ;)
