Is there anything I can do to straighten my hair without damaging it? If so, then what?
-
I heard that there is a new product called the instyler. Does it use heat on your hair? Will it damage it? I don't want to waste my money on something that damages my hair. My hair is naturally curly and wavy. So should I buy the instyler? If not, are there any other hair products or something I could do without killing my hair? I really need my hair straightened for school. I have to go to a cheer leading competition and all of our hair needs to be straightened. I'm not allowed to use a hair straightener because my mom HATES me burning my hair. What do I do???

Answer:
The instyler will still damage your hair. Heat damages your hair no matter what. Just use some heat protectants. They come in spray bottles or bottles will goop in them. Only use a little dab. Heat protectants prevent you from burning your hair. (:

yes the instlyer uesed heat and damadges your hair (it claims it makes it healthy (all heat products do) but its all a lie) it just makes it look healthy right after you use it but if u let your hair air drry and be natural the next day you'll notice damage. yes the instyler will burn your hair as any heat styler. when your hair is almost dry but a lil damp, you can wrap your hair around your head and hold down with silk or swim cap with holes in it, and sleep in it when you wake up it should be stright. u can also try some strightening products like shampoo, condioner.. also your hair mite not be as ugly as you think and there may be things your can do to enhace your natural curl. u could get some large rollors and put your hair in there when its almost dry but a lil damp and let it air dry. is your hair in good condition now or is it frizzy or damaged now? use africas best super gro(hair greace) a pea size amount in youru palms then apply to ends of hair(not roots) after your shower, it will make the hair smooth and frizzless. also a shower filter to fliter the clorine. also hair products that are free of harsh chemicals like alchol. also a hair spf protector.
Blowdry it straight and instead of a straightener, try using a curling iron. Thats what I do. It still frys it a little over time, but just get it trimmed every month and use really good, salon-bought shampoo. Also remeber the more products you put in your hair, the more your hair willbecome accustommed to those products and the more you will dry it out. Thats stupid they make you straighten your hair for cheerleading btw. I'd be mad because curly hair is bouncier and looks cooler, so screw them lol.
use the "CHI" straightner. all the other straightners are cheap and burn your hair. i myself use the "CHI".
well you will damage you hair but as long as you get a good deep conditioner and use it about 1 time a week, get trims as often as you need them (every 6-10 weeks about) and you should use a heat protectant shampo and conitioner if you are going to straighten your hair. then right before you do, spray on your hair some leave in heat protectant spray. that's what I do and it makes my hair still pretty! (:
There is no way to straighten hair with out it being damage. Instyler isn't any better it gets really hot.
get a texturizer with no chemicals or get that new product ''The Instyler''
itwill damage you hair but to prevent it you can use heat protecent
Yes, It uses heat, and honestly, the instyler sucks. You will always damage your hair, hell, even when you shampoo your hair, Your damaging it. There isn't any sort of product, or anything that will straighten your hair. It's either heat, or chemicals.
