What is the best hair dye brand for dark hair?

What is the best brand of Hair Dye for different (blue,pink,etc.) colours?

• I recently dyed my hair blue with Splat and it didn't turn out that well. The colour was lovely but it just rinsed out very quickly even though it said semi-perminent and i used two bottles. I was wondering what the best brand would be. I heard that Punky Colours is awesome but the colour always runs. I was wondering about your experieces with different hair dye brands and which is best in your opinion. Also, summer is coming soon and I was wondering what colour you think I should dye it for summer :D thanks a bunch :D

  Manic Panic colours are really good. Directions have some good colours too. Used both a few years ago on bleached hair, very bright :) With these kind of dyes, the colour never stays in very long and it's a good idea to top the colour up every week or so. Mixing some with your conditioner to top it up works well. They don't last as long because they work in different ways - temporary ones sort of stick to the outside of the hair, whereas permanent ones (which require mixing/developing) deposits the colour inside each hair.
