    4 years ago when I was in 6 grade, I had hair passed my chest, then I wwent to get a TRIM!!!! And the lady cut my hair to my chin! And I cried for days, then my grandma, who used to be a hairdresser told me if I wanted my hair to grow with it actually being and staying healthy, I would of had to use mane and tail shampoo and conditioner, it helps your hair get thicker, and longer, and she told me to put olive oil on it and keep it on there wrapped in a warm towel too let it go into the roots and change the towel every 15 mins maybe, to another warm one and keep doin it for about a hour, do it once a week and I promise you, your hair will grow faster and be thick, it worked for me.
