Is there any work in child care in Australia?

How old do you have to be to work in a child care facility/ day care?

  • im 15 about to turn 16 in a couple of months. Ive been babysitting for a while and am great at it! I am extremely experienced and certified in various child care fields including CPR & first aid. I have taken care of everyone from new born to 10 years old. With those certifications, do you think i could get a job working at a child care facility/day care? is there any minimum age to work at a child care facility?

    ONly the head teacher in a class needs to be certified though i believe this is still depending on the center. However. it's 16.

depends on where you live & where you want to work. When I was 18 I worked at a church daycare for awhile.

Depends where you live. All the child care centres where I live need a minimum Cert 3 in Childcare That's a year long course at Tafe.
