What should I do about stretch marks?

By what month were YOUR stretch marks covering your belly?

  • i started getting stretch marks about 2 weeks ago..(30 weeks now) and they just keep coming slowly and slowly i started eating healthier and been moisturizing like crazy cause I thought i was in the clear cause my mom didnt get any! im having a really hard time with my stretch marks and i just want them to stop growingg!! :( so i want your girls stories and what month did yours stop....and if anyone has post partum pics of stretch marks that would help too!!!!! THANKSS

    I was so excited that I didn't have any that I was even bragging to someone about it, then the next morning (34 weeks) I noticed my first stretch mark. Then I got a new one every day and they didn't stop appearing til the day my daughter was born at 39 weeks. They came with a vengeance! I got them on my belly, on my back, on my thighs, the back of my knees, on my boobs...everywhere! Then with my second pregnancy I only got a few more. My stretch marks are still there, but they faded a lot. My second baby is 16 months now and my stretch marks are white and faded now verses the bright red while pregnant. I even used cocoa butter every day and I still got them!

I was lucky and didn't get any during my pregnancy, which is strange because I have them on my hips, thighs and breasts from puberty.

i didn't get stretch marks until 35ish wks, but then again i barely showed until 33....totally normal, you can't really do anything to prevent them, and @ a year pp i still have them but they are not as obvious as they were when she was born.

get vitamin e and rub it on your stomach, they should stop! i didnt listen to my mom. shes had two kids and not one stretch mark. i got mine in the last month...ive had three kids. i dont think i got any extras after #3. they are just on the bottom of my belly and with a tan you cant see them... but use vitamin e!
