Does Birth Control make you cranky or moody forever?

How do i know whats the right birth control for me? one that wont make me so emotional or moody.?

  • i've been on birth control for a few months now. i've been on yaz for the past 5 months and i noticed how i get real emotional. i cry over nothing. or i get real angry over nothing. how can i find the right birth control that wont do that? or not as much.

    I think the only for sure way to avoid side effects from bc is one that does not contain hormones. I would suggest maybe something like a diaphragm, which is put in just before intercourse. If you want something that is less hands on, the paraguard iud is hormone free, and lasts up to 10 yrs. I have had the paraguard 2 times and loved it.

Sometimes it takes awhile to find which birth control works right for you. Go back to your doctor explain the symptoms and ask to be perscribed another type. It may take several attempts. Good luck

What's with the dorks who think you care what their stance on BC is? I'm with the person who said to go back to your doctor. There's no point in trying something new w/o first seeing what you can get for free. Trials are there for people to test out. :) Have you ever tried a low-dose one like Ortho-Tricyclin <sp>? I liked it, but there's no generic so my copay was too much. I had similar issues on BC in addition to horrible headaches, and my doctor recommended getting the Mirena implant. I'm getting it on Wednesday! Good luck finding the right one for you.
