How can an international student play in usa college?

I'm an international student at a USA college, can I babysit / would you have a problem hiring me?

I know that non-USA citizens who have entered the United States on a F1 student visa are not allowed to work in the United States in any official jobs. They can, however, work in university jobs. I was wondering if a babysitting job (it's not really an "official" job) would be okay to do while at college. Also, if I'm signing up for a profile on online babysitting job finders, can I check the box that says I'm legally eligible or would this get me into trouble? As an American parent, (I am going to a great university, have references, top 5% of the class, speak English, Spanish, and French fluently) would you have a problem with the fact that I technically can't work? I really want to work as a babysitter! Thank you!!!

As with any babysitter, I would want to get to know you and make sure that you would be okay around my kids. If so, then yes.. And then you would have some great stories of "Far off lands" to tell my kids(:

I would check with immigration rather than risk your visa. Get an interpretation from them. Don't sign up until you know you are legally eligible.
