Implantation bleeding? Or something else?

Could I have had implantation bleeding or could it be something else?

• Ok...on Aug 24 I had my usual painful heavy period. Then in Sep. nothing. I hadn't really noticed until the 2nd of Oct. The day before the 2nd my lower abdomen felt heavy and crampy. The next day I went to the bathroom and when I wiped I saw light blood and figured that my cycle had just changed. I change my tampon every time I go. But when I wiped this time there was nothing which freaked me out. So I waited....... The next day I took a pg test and was neg. It is now the 15th and I must say I am driving myself and my honey crazy! He is 44 with no kids and is certain he can't have any. I had my son at the tender age of 16 and have had no pregnancies since. Now 35. Is it still too soon to take another test? Could the spotting have been implantation bleeding?
