What does a dresser do at a sonic drive in?

White crib, with white stained oak dresser?

  • I have a white crib and white changing table, and I was planning on getting a white dresser...but when we got the dresser home, it was not white, it was white stained OAK. So not even close to what I had originally wanted, but it's a 2 hour drive, ALL through downtown Chicago, to the place we went to pick up the dresser and I really don't want to drive back there. So I was just wondering, would it look tacky if I just did my baby's room with the white crib and changing table and kept the white stained oak dresser? Or would it be okay and like something I could make work? Just some opinions please (: I'm horrible with knowing whether things look good or not.

  • Answer:

It's TOTALLY fine. Just add another piece of 'oak stained' into the room to blend the dresser. We have a dark walnut stained set of furniture and the crib turned out darker than what we thought would match, so we just went with 'dark wood' colors and even got a black oak stained glider with dark brown cushions, just to blend in with the 'mismatched' style. Turned out great, and NO ONE notices. And cleaning up puke and pee at 2 am, no one cares anyway... ;-)
