try to do fun things with them! When i babysat my neighbor i asked him to show me his toys. When i did he described each of them and what they do. They like to brag and get attention when it comes to things like that. another idea is get a whole bunch of party songs on like an i-pod of cd player and play them and let them just have fun and dance to it and maybe dance with them. also drawing and coloring remember if you open up to them and show them your fun and there friend they will have more respect for you and if they dont listen show them that they can have a time out. a time out should be as long as there age. so a 5 year old gets a 5 minute time out. Thats a long time for them! haha

make play dough! i do it all the time! the girls will enjoy making it along as playing with it. here is a link for a recipe. you can also make a scavenger hunt for them. they will have soo much fun running around while thinking what prize is at the end. put a small toy or treat at the end and they will be really happy. and u can never go wrong with coloring and board games! i have done all of these and they work great! just be creative and fun and they kids will beg their parents to have you back. then you will have a repetitive job!

You can put a movie on....turn on music and do a dance competition. Play Barbies with them. believe me you will see what they like and they will show you. Go along with it. They will listen. Most girls are good. Especially when its someone they dont know.

Well,I'm assuming their bedtime is at 8-ish. So really you just have to occupy them from 6-7:30. Coloring is always good for down time, but more physical games like tag, and Mother may I are good before bed time, it wears them out a bit. Since it's getting dark out by then in most places, I wouldn't recommend tag. Maybe hide and seek? Barbies is always a good choice, or house. At 7:30-ish, with their parents permission, make them a quick snack. I like to do fruit, and make it into faces, or buildings. For little girls, flowers made of fruit would be fun. After snack, get them ready for bed. If timed right, you'll have just enough time for the story. Get them in their beds, and rather than just reading it, act it out. Like over dramatic, pantomime acting. The kids will love you for that stuff, and it's pretty darn easy. To get them to listen, just be stern. If one of them is being naughty, let them know that if they don't behave, their sister will get an extra special snack, and they'll have to skip snack and get ready for bed early. Good luck! =]
