How do I gain control of my life?

How to gain control of yourself and your life after having a baby?

  • Before I gave birth I was very busy. I did martial arts, track, worked full time, went to college. I mean I did everything and felt great. since giving birth. I feel completely lazy and useless. I am looking for a way to regain my energy, so I lose weight and begin to feel better about myself. I want to get my life back on track before I fall too far behind. Until I had the baby I never weighed over 145, and I gained 90 pounds while pregnant, and I lost 40 and now have gained 25 of those back. I need to get back into school, and more importantly I want to be a better mom. My daughter is almost one and she is starting to walk and wanting to play more and I want to be able to play with her. I am only 20 and I feel like I am 50. Has anyone else gone through this? How do I overcome it?

  • Answer:

Put baby in stroller or carrier and start walking. Sounds like winter blues to me. Get out of the house.

i understand completely i went through it with my second child. it end up being postpartum depression it can last over a year if its not treated. when i found that out my son was a year old i went on welbutrin for 3 months and i bounced right back. i felt so much better. i got a job and got active and lost tons of weight. then i was kicking myself for waiting so long to get some help. but i just assumed it was because i was so tired due to him waking up every hour and a half for three months, then my husband being on nights. i always thought it was something else. so i would go see a doctor and see what they say.

I can fully understand your frustration. I have been fightinng weight issues all my life, nothing worked all that well for me... yes I would lose weight on some, but as soon as I went off their program the weight instantly returned. That is until I tried the Diet Solution Program, and I have been having great success with it; maybe it will work for you too. Well, good luck

It's tough my son is 20 months and I'm still struggling on some days...good luck to you I wish I could give you the answer but I can just related =S
