What is tender?

What causes really tender breasts...?

  • What causes pregnancy tender breasts (where even the slightest brush hurts them) when you aren't pregnant? I haven't felt this kind of breast pain in a long long time. I initially thought it might be my birth control, but I've been off that for a while now. It's been a month or so that they've been hurting, and today they started to hurt even worse. And I think they're growing. I'm 27. Why would the be growing? I can barely fit into my bra, so I don't wear it unless I have to. Any ideas what could cause this?!

  • Answer:

I have fibrosistic breasts and i could feel your pain. One factor that it can be attributed to is a change of the hormones level in the body as well as to much caffeine one thing my doctor recommended is a warm wet towel on each breasts which helps as well as a herbal/pill which can be found over the counter or at any herbal store called (primrose evening oil) in capsule form. First speak to your doctor and relate your concerns. The tenderness can also be because you're not breastfeeding, you might want to consider pumping and wearing the proper cup bra to support the breasts

Do you drink a lot of caffeine? It can make you retain water in your breasts and make them tender and swollen. Try cutting back and see if there is a difference. Do some research on fibrocystic breasts too. It a condition that's harmless, but can cause a lot of tenderness. I attached a link.
