What are the positives of being a male nurse?

Someone please tell me how i got so many false positives on hpts!?

• I am so confused! I was supposed to get my period on the 10th of May. It never came, but a had spotting about 3 times, just dark blood when I wiped, over a few days. I took 3 hpts Monday night and they all came out positive. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and their urine test came out negative. I took several more hpts ( I’m slightly obsessive) over the next day and a half, all came out positive. Went a took another “clinical grade” pregnancy test at a center just today, it came back negative. I can’t take a blood test until next week. The nurse at the center was telling me how sensitive their tests were, so it should have came up. What could have caused all the false positives? I just want to cry! All I want is to know for sure. I’ve heard that ovarian cysts can cause pregnancy symptoms, but can they cause positive hpts as well?

  I believe cysts are one of the only things that can cause a false positive. But if you got a positive at home, it should have registered on the doctor's test. The only explanation is that their tests are not as sensitive as the ones you are taking, no matter what the nurse has told you. The only way to tell is to get a blood test.
