• I'm a 37yr old aspiring writer. I'm married this past 7yrs. Before getting married, the arrangement between my wife and I was that I would not be bound by the restraints of a job and I would concentrate wholly on my writing. We have 5 children, they are 7yrs, Twins 5yrs, 3yr old, 2yr old and a baby 11 months. My wife works outside the home. My wife pays two woman to help me with household chores and the kids. This week has been bad. I've had 2 pieces of writing rejected so i'm in poor form and have been to the pub basically every day, so shes had to have them in 24/7. My wife works 8am until 5pm, Monday - Friday and then works Saturdays 7am - 2pm. We have just found out shes pregnant again. She just does not understand me and i feel shes giving me a hard time and not enough understanding. She doesnt comprehend how delicate an artists ego is and sometimes heavily hints i go out and take a job for the sake of it. I've become 'close' with a woman in the local pub who works there. Shes is also an aspiring writer and we have so much in common. Her and I are going to a writers workshop for one week and i've paid for this ladies trip also. My wife has not been pleased about that either as i had to get a cheque off my wife to cover us both. I just dont understand why my wife cannot see my artistic flair has to be nourished.
