I am 35 and want to have children in the next few years. What age do women stop having children?
-
I am 35 years old and I had my son at the age of 20 but now I am planning to merry my current boyfriend and have a family with him, He is almost 26 and I am 35 years old and we both want to have children together in the next few year. How old do women stop having children? I want to have 2 children the most unless I have more time to have more. I hear that most women my age do give birth to healthy children with good medical care but there could be some risk. I am very healthy and active person and I put my faith in God for I am Christian. Can anyone tell me what is the age to stop having children? Thank you so much in advance!

Answer:
There is no age to stop having children. My grandmother had my mom when she was 44:) As long as you haven't gone through the change, you are good. The only downfall is the older you are, the less energy you may have. Toddlers are a ton of work. Good luck deciding!

Well you could have 2 children if your fertility is fine, maybe 3 if you are lucky, but dont waste any time, this year is the time to start trying. I think most women usually have a lot of difficulty by the time they get to 45 or so. Good luck!x
As far as the medical community is concerned, at 35, you will be considered high risk, and you'll hear the term "advanced maternal age" a lot. As far as nature goes - you're probably fine. If you're healthy enough to survive pregnancy and child birth, go for it. That Duggar woman on TLC is 42 and just popped out her 19th. Women are having kids at 50 and 60, so don't worry.
If you want 2 children, then you need to start right now... or as soon as your married which is hopefully soon. If not, you should consider freezing some of your eggs for later use. Your eggs will have already begun to decrease in number and this will lead to longer times to conceive and higher risk for abnormalities like down syndrome. An antral follicle count ultrasound can help you determine the "lifespan" of your ovaries. "How to Get Pregnant" by Dr. Silber gives a more detailed explanation. But it is very useful information and a very simple ultrasound procedure. After 40 is considered higher risk for Down's Syndrome.
Well if your over 35 you have a higher risk of getting a baby with Down's Syndrome. Ok the answer to your question I think around 40. I hope this helps!!!
