What are the chances of multiples with the fertility pill clomid?

• I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis. I have one daughter and my pregnancy with her was supposed to be twins but I was told that my daughter needed more nutrients so the other child didn't make it (That story being shortened). I have no history of twins in my family other then that one weird situation. My fiance does have a history of twins and triplets but I have heard that that doesn't really matter. I've also had two miscarriages in the past. My doctor has just prescribed me Clomid (Clomiphene) 50 mg and I have heard that there is a possibility of multiples. I also heard if your younger there's a better chance. So my age of 21 might help. I would really like to know if anyone has had any experience with this pill or know much about it. I'm wondering the chances of multiples and an estimate on how long it would take to get pregnant or how long it took you if you have used this method. Please and Thank You!

  PCOS increases your chances of twins more than Clomid does. With Clomid, there is a slightly higher than average chance of twins (1:10). Your age actually makes you LESS LIKELY to have twins. Women over 35 are more likely to have twins. I have used Clomid, I did not have twins. How long it takes will depend upon your unique circumstances.
