Early menstrual period this month - sign of early miscarraige?

• My periods have never been regular but i'm never early, usually late and sometimes on time (28 days), this month my period came three days early, was much lighter than normal but thicker and a darker browny colour, also much shorter than normal, only lasted three days and none of the usual aches. I'm married, have one child and would like another. I'm worried that I may have been pregnant but that this was an early miscarraige. I hadn't taken a test as I wasn't due yet so I guess there is no way of knowing for sure but if anyone knows that these are the symptoms of any early miscarriage, I would be grateful for your response.   early miscarriages are hard to tell because they come in the form of either a heavy period or a period , you have said in your post that you have not been regular, and if you are trying to get pregnant you should talk to your doctor about options to get you regular so you will def know when and if you get pregnant
