How to ask your doc about clomid and how long did it take to be perscribed????

i going to doc this coming up week and i was wondering how long did it take for you to get a perscription of clomid from your doc.????

I was given it about 2 days after I had some blood tests done and a ultrasound to confirm that I did have cysts and wasn't ovulating on my own. The OBGYN then decided to give me the low dose of clomid to start out with. I also had provera because i wasn't having a period on my own.

it depends on the doctor, some doctors like to take the necessary precautions and do all the lab and blood work, before they prescribe this to women. It has some side effects and if you have certain conditions you can not take it. Clomid is a very serious drug. But after your blood work comes back, he/she can prescribe it to you the same day.
