On a one-month cycle what days are the best chances of getting pregnant, best chances of not getting pregnant?

Unless you know when you ovulate then it is best to try every other day after the day the period is over until the next period. Sperm lives a few days so you will increase sperm count and it will still be in there on the days you don't try.

There is no best days, it depends on when you ovulate. You can go to babycenter.com and check out their ovulation calculator and type in your info and see but it may not work. I tried and for two months did not get pregnant. Finally gave up and we did it the week before my period was do and a month later I found out I was pregnant. No lie I conceived Feb 28 and my period was due march 1. Just depends on when you release an egg. if you want to get prego do it about every 3 days apart. The egg lives for 72 hours only and sperm can live for 4 or more days. If you dont want to get pregnant use B/C and condems.

Going by your example, you are using a 30 day cycle. In that case, ovulation would occur on day 16 (it happens 14 days before the start of the next period). Best days to BD for pregnancy: days 10-17 Best days to not get pregnant: days 1-8 and days 20-30 Questionable days (more likely than not likely): days 9, 18, and 19 I have to add that though days 1-8 and 20-30 are less likely to cause a pregnancy, it can still happen. well you were pretty close... if you have a 30 day cycle, you would be most fertile around days 11 to 19... bc you ovulate around day 15... your best chances of not getting pregnant are day 1 to day 8 or 9... and day 21 to day 30.... however, being stressed out or getting sick can cause some women to ovulate earlier or later... so if you are trying NOT to get pregnant, then use a condom... and if you ARE trying to get pregnant, then have BD every other day from the last day of the period to a couple days before the start of the next..
