Did we miss ovulation or was this close enough?

Is it true if you are pregnant and use a ovulation prediction test that it will show up as a positive result?

• Sorry,if my question is weird but I'm new to all this and am trying to figure out a few things. I just bought some ovulation testers and am secretly hoping I might already be pregnant since I had a very abnormal period last week. I had sex 1-2 days before my period which barely amounted to anything(Very weird for me) I was irregular several years ago, was on nuvaring for a year and a half, been off for almost 6 months and have been very regular ever since. I've used two of the ovulation prediction sticks and both haven't really registered much of a result at all. Either I'm not ovulating, or am not close enough to ovulation to get a decent result. My real question is if you are pregnant what would the ovulation result be?

  Pregnancy actually has nothing much to do with ovulation results. If you were pregnant you shouldn't get ANY ovulation results. What I think you mean is if you think you are pregnant? Chances are slim because you said you had sex a couple of days before your cycle. You are probably worrying about it too much and that effect is changing the harmone balance in you. RELAX. Secondly, if you want to know when or if you ovulate the best suggestion is to start charting yourself. Most women ovulate 14-18 days after your first menstrating day. I hoped that helped
