Could this be implantation cramping?

Implantation cramping?

  • Kind of a toughie. All throughout Thursday I was getting dull, quick cramps. As a majority, they've felt like the cramps I'd get during my AF. There is a difference, however. My PMS cramps are pretty severe and almost constant when I experience them. The cramps, as I said, are quick, and not terrible on a pain scale. Another difference is the fact that I get PMS cramps day of, or day after I've already started AF. So, crampy with a lack of a period, I decided to google things like "cramping w/o period" and the result was always the same: Implantation Cramping. Ok, makes sense, as we have been 'not trying, not preventing' for 2 years. Here is where it gets tricky. I have hypothyroidism. PCOS also runs in my family, and is common in women who already have thyroid problems as ovulation doesn't run as smoothly. I'm afraid that this pain is from a ruptured cyst. Maybe I'm paranoid? My question is this: If any has had implantation cramping, how often did the cramps come, how long after you ovulated did they happen, what did they feel like, etc. (I ovulated about 10 days ago, if that helps. As we are not actively TTC, I didn't have it marked, but that is around when I hate EWCM) And if you have PCOS, is this pain anywhere near as severe as a ruptured cyst would be?

  • Answer:

My implantation cramping came on the day of my expected period. I thought I was about to start AF but it never came. It lasted for a few days. I would just say get a pregnancy test. As for the PCOS and thyroid issue, I can't really answer that. I can say it does sound like you're pregnant.
