How many different B vitamins are there? And what do they do?

How many vitamins are harmful to a 3 year old?

  • I was asleep last night, and woke up, and My child had gotten out of bed went downstairs and taken flintstone vitamins. I asked Her how many She took, and she keeps holding up 2 fingers, and saying 2. She took a half of a vitamin the evening before. It says there are 20 miligrams in a half a vitamin. She is 3 years old, and weighs about 40 pounds. Will 2 1/2 vitamins hurt Her? What should I do?

  • Answer:

It should say on the bottle. But I second the person above me. Call poison control to be safe.

Call poison control to be safe.

Are you sure she didn't take more? How can you be sure a 3 year old knows or remembers how many she took. Call poison control to be sure. Mind you, so many hours have passed and if you are reading this and not at an emergency room already, highly likely all is okay. But still a phone call will do more good than harm. NO offense, but why was she able to access the vitamins? I know accidents happen but a little more vigilance wouldn't hurt. Not trying to be insulting, honestly, we all make mistakes I have made my own share, but I am very strict about that stuff, even though my kids are older now, I still keep vitamins, pharmaceuticals, and cleaning aids under lock and key. Kids are so curious and so unaware of how much danger lurks in every corner for them. Good Luck.
