What are some good games to do with a 5 year old and a 2 year old?

• I have two boys that are 5 years old and 2 years old. We played Elefun today and the 2 year old didn't really get it. He loved picking up the butterflies and putting them back in. He also enjoyed turning it on and off. I've also set up a treasure hunt before and the 2 year old just follows the 5 year old and "helps" him with the clues, etc. They enjoy rolling the ball together, but the 2 year old doesn't last long with that one. The 2 year old isn't a big fan of play doh or anything. I was trying to think of some other games that I could get both boys to play together that would be fun and keep us all occupied. The 5 year old is usually in school during the week, so it's on days off that would be great to have special activities or games for them to do. Any ideas you could give me would be great!

  Bowling may work. Get a bowling set or use empty water or soda bottles and a ball. Elefun is a great toy, my kids love it. simple bingo...we have the dollar store bingo. My daughter just likes to fill up the whole card so thats how we play. they take turns being the "caller" Candyland may or maynot work. Gather some stuff...a toothbrush, bannana, apple, spoon, small toys. Put them in a paper bag, have them stick their hand in and guess what it is...you can give the little one clues, and use easy items. Go on nature walks. Make a list of things for them to find, a red leaf, pine cone, acorn, dog, something red, greeen, a flower....etc. have each of them collect their items. The older boy can make something with the stuff he finds and they younger may want to join in...glueing leafs to paper with a glue stick. get a balloon, play "volley ball" just hit the balloon in the air. Hide and seek, red light green light. simon says. Baseball...my daughter is younger and she loves playing the field and getting the balls her brother hits. we have like 20 balll, he hits them she gets them and brings them to me. When it is her turn to hit she uses the T. she likes fielding bettter, we give her lots of praise whenshe brings the balls to us so she really enjoys it. We just go in the back yard. I ask them to get as many sticks or leaves they can find. 2 and 5 is a tough age gap but next year when they youngest is 3 it will be so much easier activity wise....riding bikes, rollerskating, skooters. Mine are now 6 and 4, I have an almost 3 year old neice and all she wants to do is what my kids do. last year it was difficult when we got together, she was still babish. now it is a blast. not saying 2 isnt great because it is!
