Has anyone used a Moby Wrap?

• My daughter is 17 months old and has outgrown the weight limits for the front carrier we used to use when she was a baby, although we haven't used it in almost a year. We are going on vacation next month and I am thinking about buying a Moby Wrap to use at the airport and while we are on vacation so we won't need the stroller as much, if at all. I have never used one but have read the reviews and many people say they are a lifesaver. Has anyone used a Moby Wrap and would you suggest it for an 18 month old? She likes to walk as well as be held and I'm thinking it might be the best option for a crowded airport or busy street since she doesn't like the stroller very much anymore. What do you think?

  I have a sleepy wrap carrier which is very similar to the moby and a structured carrier that is almost a cross between baby bjorn and ergo. I think I'm going to advise AGAINST the wrap in your situation-I LOVE mine but I use it for my newborn daughter who hates the structured carrier. They are a life saver but I really think you need to start using the wrap carriers when you have a newborn- mastering them with an older child would be considerably more difficult. I haven't tried using it with my two year old son, but he's developed a real independent streak since his sister was born. Plus with the damage the second pregnancy did to my abdominal muscles I REALLY want to discourage him from wanting to be carried!
